The Scientific Committee now welcomes all abstract submissions! It is possible to submit your abstracts and edit/update your details through our online submission system after you have submitted your abstract up until the final submission deadline, which is Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 11:59 PM CDT. The abstract form will be locked for editing after the deadline.
The Scientific Committee is responsible for managing the peer review process and the committee will select the highest scoring abstracts for either oral or poster presentation and designate them to the appropriate session based on their topic area and/or category. Correspondence about this decision is not possible.
If your abstract is accepted for presentation, it will be assigned into one of the following categories:
- Oral Podium Presentations (7 minutes to present, 3 minutes discussion);
- Moderated Poster Presentation (3 minutes to present, 2 minutes discussion);
- Unmoderated Poster/E-poster Presentation;
- Video Presentation.
Please note that the date and time and the number of sessions held are subject to change.
Submitters will be notified of acceptance or rejection of their abstract by March 31, 2020. Note that acceptance of your abstract for presentation at the IUGA 45th Annual Meeting does not cover the cost of travel to the meeting, registration for the conference, or printing of poster materials. In addition, please note that by submitting an abstract, the abstract presenter agrees to register and attend the meeting and present the abstract/poster. Please note that failure to register may result in your abstract and related presentation being withdrawn from the meeting.
Finally, please do note that IUGA’s randomized controlled trials (RCT) protocol for abstracts is that all abstracts categorized as an RCT on submission MUST follow CONSORT guidelines. If you have any doubts about this please contact the IUGA Office.
